I've long been a fan of the Video On Demand model for porn. There's something great about only paying for what you watch, but unlike the DVD store, you get to pay by the minute. This gives you the best of both worlds - huge selection, without the buyers remorse that comes from a bad choice.
There's issues that come with it though - the WMV format is the industry standard meaning I can't play it on my Mac, and there's the everpresent issue of it all being DVD content, so losing some of the charm of the online porn market.

Adult Rental has the volume of content that means you will never run out. 45,000 videos. Just take a second to think about that one.
Ok. So now you've seen the possibility, let me enlighten further. These videos aren't just your cheap productions. There's top content there from Hustler, Private, Wicked, A&E and more. Several hundred producers, also including some of the classic online producers like Pink Visual (Couples Seduce Teens) and Abby Winters (The best Real amateur content being made).
The quality of the videos is amazing, assuming your bandwidth can handle it. But still at the medium level it looks great in fullscreen. There's full skipping possible, so you're not paying to watch the credits, or those boring bits without action. They even give you little thumbs to help you find the point to jump to.
We Didn't Like
It's possible to spend a lot of money here. Not without realising, as there are a range of packages from a couple bucks up to a cheaper package at $50. But if you're the kind of person that watches the full DVD you're still paying about 8 bucks. As long as you're still satisfied with the generic DVDs available on the download sites, this may not appeal. But that said, they get the latest releases here, sometimes even before the stores.
The navigation is not the best, and the search function is near useless, so it's sometimes hard to get where you're going. I recommend using the 'Top' lists on the right to get you going, and find studios you like. It has also got great niche separation, 60+ categories, which mitigates this somewhat.
As I mentioned earlier, just having WMV as the format means I couldn't use my Mac, but if you dont' have a Mac you should be good to go. I could still use the (slightly overpriced) iPod downloads though, which is great for porn-on-the-go.

An account at Adult Rental doesn't cost you anything to maintain. You can try it free, and just top up minutes when you get the urge. For this reason it's really like having a Blockbuster card, but more convenient.
For that reason alone I'd suggest signing up, but what will likely keep you coming back is the instant access to quality titles, without having to use the overpriced sites of the studios themselves.
Being able to see what's popular is also a great way to find new types of porn, new pornstars, and other nichey surprises.
On the downside is the wmv format only, and the actual download options are pretty pricey. Poor navigation is made up for with volume, and once again, the fact there's no recurring charges or hidden fees makes it a great 'what you want when you want it' sort of account to hold for a rainy night.
